This is one of my earliest portraits created back in 1982....it's a copy but I can't place whose. Back then I was experimenting with white lead grounds - which are quite toxic but last forever - on masonite. It measures 24"x24".
Maybe you can help name the original artist's work.
Thanks for visiting my Etsy shop!

How beautiful and composed she is in the portrait.. and how did you manage to reflect those emotions in her face.....AWESOME!! JUST LOVED IT...thx for sharing...
Thanks Greener- you have a cool blog, I'll have to visit and comment there.
(this is a copy, so I can't take credit for the emotions....)
Very nice, Victoria! NOt familiar with the piece, so can't help you on the artist.
I finally remembered....Frederick Varley, from the Canadian Group of Seven. This is a portrait of his model and muse, 'Vera'.
