Portrait of a girl

This is one of my earliest portraits created back in 1982....it's a copy but I can't place whose. Back then I was experimenting with white lead grounds - which are quite toxic but last forever - on masonite. It measures 24"x24".
Maybe you can help name the original artist's work.

Thanks for visiting my Etsy shop!

Thanks Greener- you have a cool blog, I'll have to visit and comment there.

(this is a copy, so I can't take credit for the emotions....)

I finally remembered....Frederick Varley, from the Canadian Group of Seven. This is a portrait of his model and muse, 'Vera'.
