New mixed media canvas - Precious Remnants

My latest canvas - it's 16 x 20" and called "Precious Remnants".  

I love making these luggage tag canvases, finding all the tiny bits and pieces. It reminds me of that game where you have to find as many objects as possible that will fit into a matchbox!I've used allsorts here, from embroidery thread to clock parts, jigsaw pieces to a piece of old lace.

Surreal shells

I have two new paintings, both 5 x 7 inch acrylic paintings on canvas board, inspired by the rather strange idea of combining molluscs with images of dessert. It all started because of something I saw in the background of "Yellow Submarine" which my brain misinterpreted as a snail with a cupcake on its back. I'm sure I'll come up with more, but for now here are two of them!


I made a post of these and some other recent psychedelic and surreal paintings and prints over at my blog for Art by Sarada.

POLO BEACH WAILEA, MAUI ~ Lisabongzee's Island Dream Life

This is Polo Beach on the island of Maui, Hawaii.
This beautiful beach can be found on the resorty Wailea Makena south side of the island, and can be somewhat crowded, but the amazing views make it worth it!

"Polo Beach"
is one of my original 6x12, one of a kind, palette knife oil paintings.


It is painted on a gallery wrapped canvas, and the painting continues around the edges, so there is no need for a frame if you do not want one.
