Modern Florals - Roses

I've taken the idea of a modern geometric background and am blending it with some of my favorite florals. This one is painted with Daniel Smith watercolor paints, one pigment is , a natural treasured pigment from Brazil, Red Fuchsite. This soft, reddish dusky rose has an iridescent sheen which rises to the surface This gives the painting just the slightest bit of sparkle in spots. Also painted with a beautiful granulating brown, Burnt Tigers Eye (another natural pigment) and Q Gold, one of watercolor artists favorite pigments!

Original watercolor by Melanie Pruitt available at The Creators Palette
