This latest drawing is titled "Rosa's Flounder". We were down at the Pacific Coast in a campsite on Whalen Island the past few days and had great weather and a wonderful time. On Monday morning the camp host, Rosa, came by and showed me her catch of the day, a beautiful flounder, which inspired this drawing. The best part, however, was when she offered to filet the fish and give it to us for dinner! Cooked up in butter with pepper, season salt and garlic powder it proved to be the best tasting fish I have ever eaten! I remarked that it tasted a bit like delicate shrimp and Rosa said it was probably because flounder feed on sand shrimp. Guess I'll have to get a fishing license for my next trip to Whalen Island!

Ghost bottle painting - Elixir of Arminta
I'm hopefully going to be able to offer a few little ghostly paintings like this as Halloween approaches - along with all the other Halloween art that is in my shop! This is a little different because it is monochrome. I think the spirit looks a little like a mermaid.

An original mixed media collage on canvas, using luggage tags, tea staining, acrylic paints, and collage ephemera.
This canvas was inspired by some of my favorite words (ephemeral, fragile, whisper, esoteric, dulcet, talisman, serendipity and evanescent). I liked the idea of making them into a sort of unformed poem :)

HENRY's FISHIN' HOLE ~ Lisabongzee's Island Dream Life
Happy ALOHA FRIDAY! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
“Henry’s Fishin’ Hole”
is one of my original oil paintings, depicting fishermen spending the day on the abandoned boat harbor pier of Henry J. Kaiser. This pier is located on the former “Kaiser Estate”, a 5 ½ acre oceanfront parcel of gorgeous island land. Henry J. Kaiser was most well known for developing the Hawaii Kai community, on the east side of Oahu, Hawaii.
The pier is a great fishing spot, and many locals catch their weekend dinner here! The Kaiser Estate has changed hands many times, and if you happen to have an extra $80 MILLION lying around, this beautiful little pier could be your very own!!

3 New Watercolour Paintings
Hello,
Here are my latest paintings that have been added to the shop.
These two above are done in a style that is a little bit different to my usual style and it was quite fun. They remind me of some fashion illustrations I've seen but obviously without the fashion!
This last one is a part of my Serenity, Joy art series and is called '5 Minutes of Peace'
