Proudly presenting "The Letter P"!  This is the twentieth letter in the alphabet series, leaving only six letters to complete - E, I, U, F, K, and V.  I have listed "The Letter P" in My Etsy Shop today as an authorized art print (8"x10") and as an Open Edition ACEO (2.5"x3.5").

"The Letter G"

This is a good day to present to you "The Letter G"! We are drawing near to the completion of the "Alphabet Series" with only seven letters to yet be illustrated; those being "E", "I", "U", "F", "K", "P", and "V".   It seems amazing that I have come this far and the distance to the finish is now not that far away.

Sandie, of Arizona (one of My Etsy Shop's wonderful patrons), guessed that I was working on "The Letter G" and has graciously chosen the next letter for me to illustrate.  Which letter do You think Sandie chose?

Deepest Depths by Sarah John Afana

It is at the "deepest depths" of the ocean that the colors of the sea melt into each other.

I guess one could say "X" marks the spot in this posting!  It does mark the eighteenth initial to be completed with only eight remaining to be illustrated.  "The Letter X" is currently listed in My Etsy Shop as an authorized art print (8"x10") as well as an Open Edition ACEO (2.5"x3.5").  

Stacy, MagicLoveCrow, has once again risen to the challenge and surmised that I was working on this particular letter.  Stacy has happily provided me with a new letter which I will begin illustrating later this day.  Since there are now only three vowels and five consonants left, I am not giving out any clues - this time you get to randomly guess which initial I am working on!

It has been a long time since I have been here but I have been working on pictures, hair sticks, afghans....  Just recently I received a diagnosis of Breast Cancer so I will be making that my main focus but my art is my therapy so I am sure there will be plenty of that created!

Wha-Hoo! I have complete a whimsical "The Letter W"! My trek through the alphabet is proving to be an enjoyable adventure.  A great part of this journey are the wonderful people who have joined along in this series sojourn.  Seventeen letters are now completed and only nine remain to be illustrated, three vowels and six consonants. 

Pam, AlwaysArtistic, was first guesser of this letter and has chosen a new letter for me to begin illustrating.  This is a fun letter that brings to mind fond memories of a age old childhood game.  Can you guess which letter Pam chose for me to complete?

"The Letter N"

I am so enjoying my sojourn through the alphabet! With each new letter I discover something new and am excited by where the pen and my mind take me next. In this case, it was to the completion of "The Letter N"!


I have listed the newly completed "N" in My Etsy Shop earlier today.  It is available as an authorized art print (8"x10") and as an Open Edition ACEO (2.5"x3.5").


Stacy, MagicLoveCrow, guessed that I was working on "The Letter N" and has provided me with another letter which I began illustrating today.  If you are the first guesser with the current letter, you will be able to provide me with the next letter to illustrate as well as receive a complimentary Open Edition ACEO of the letter you choose.

Some new items for my neglected shop!

I have been neglecting my Etsy shop for several months so I  finally added some new items!

This is a nice 5x7 very affordable watercolor still life.  I call it 'Leaning Pear'.  You can find it here in my Etsy shop.  It is matted and ready to slip into an 8x10 frame!

I also added the orignal 24x12 acrylic painting of the Tuscan Peacock!  This is on canvas with painted sides and ready to hang!

Last, but not least, is a print of this cute ladybug ACEO.  The original was a commission.

Happy Thursday!  

And here is the latest letter in question, "The Letter Q"!  "Q" is the 15th initial in my Alphabet Series, only 11 initials are now left to illustrate!  "Q" is now listed in My Etsy Shop as an authorized art print (8"x10") and as an Open Edition ACEO (2.5"x3.5").

Lorrie, DivineDesignStudios, discerned that I was working on "Q" and has chosen a letter of her choice for me to illustrate now.   The letter Lorrie chose is also the first letter in the name of eight states within the USA ... any thoughts on which letter that is?  If you are the first to guess, you will be the one to choose my next initial, plus you will receive a complimentary Open Edition ACEO of the letter you choose.

This painting is the first of my tree root series. I was walking through the woodlands of the Myakka River State Park and wanted an atypical subject matter. I looked down to the ground and saw beautiful colors and shadows from the light above falling on the roots of the oak tree. This was painted "en Plein Air" on a wonderful afternoon!

I recently also created a treasury just for the VAST team, wanted to explore some of the wonderful work created by these artists!
