Crow Skull Study II
An original watercolor by Helen KlebesadelI love crows. They are the truth-speakers. I think of them as the Cassandras (the harsh voices that carry truths no one wants to know). A part of me is a crow. In my deepest places I know my affinity is attached to the wisdom and knowledge I have gained in my maturity from lived experience, especially from the mistakes of inaction. They represent my belief that it is important to speak the truth as you see it even, and especially, when no one wants to hear it.
Knowing my fascination with all things raven and crow I am often gifted with crow and raven associated items by my community. This painting is of a lovely crow skull given to me
in an beautiful ribbon bound box by my friend Math.
