This painting was done as a commission - the buyer saw a painting I had already sold and wanted a similar one. It's an original mixed media painting on canvas, measuring 16 x 20".
I really enjoyed painting this, even though I'd done something similar before.
I'm working on another couple of commissions at the moment, but once they are done I think I may do some more of these trees in different sizes and colour schemes. I love working with all colors, but these warm yellows, oranges and browns are probably the ones I'm most drawn to myself, and strangely (as it's quite a time-consuming task!) I love cutting out all the leaves - I find it quite therapeutic!
