Growing up I had a newspaper route. Many mornings I would have several crows follow me as I delivered papers. I would recite Poe in my head and caw back at them. I figured we had the kinship of birds being a Robin. I created a series of bird silhouettes. I handcut suede mat board and black mat board. I would keep or nest skirts, tops and dresses till called to become part of a new creation. The large colorful crow is 20" x 18". I display them using fishing line so they seem to be in flight. The fabrics in these two are from skirts I wore to art openings.
