New Work at Studio Virgo

I have two new listings today, a drawing and a mixed media acrylic painting.

Green Figure is from the life drawing class I recently started attending on Wednesday evenings at a local arts center. There is nothing like drawing from the model to really hone your observational skills and hand-eye coordination. This drawing was done with pencil and white conte on Mi-Tientes drawing paper tinted with an acrylic wash.

My second new listing is a 24 x 36" mixed media on canvas entitled Chaos Theory. It's probably my most ambitious canvas in recent years, and is the first in a new series I'm working on. It was recently shown in the juried exhibition "Fusion of the Arts" at IU Northwest in Gary, Indiana. It was created with acrylic, layers of collage, and conte drawing on canvas.
