New Pastel Paintings from Kauai

My next door neighbor is a very delightful Japanese woman in her nineties. She has the most spectacular garden, and one day she invited me to come photograph her flowers and plants. I took many pictures, but what really caught my eye was this colorful pineapple! The pineapple has long been considered a symbol of hospitality and welcoming. This painting would make a wonderful house warming present!

Just sold the original, so this one is now available in my Etsy Shop as an 8"x10" print.

I was having a picnic at Salt Pond Beach Park one day and captured a shot of this lovely young lady playing in the sand! She was having a great time just piling up the sand and making shapes. It takes me back to my childhood days!

This original pastel painting is still available and comes framed!

I hope you have enjoyed these paintings! Aloha from Kauai, Marionette

Beautiful Pineapple. I remember a tree we say on Kauai that was striped in colors like that. It was so cool!
