Make The Most of Each Day

Illustration is something I have always done. And, I guess as an artist, I'd say I'm an illustrator first. I love illustrating for children. Initially as an artist, I focused on writing for children and novel writing. When that did not gain attention I had hoped, I switched from writing to focusing on my art. I figured I would create enough artwork that when I did submit to publishers, they could see I had a solid base and would know instantly if they liked my work-or not. Rather than having to read another 2-3 chapters in the case of a novel or for children, the entire manuscript. My biggest goal is to submit a children's book with my own illustrations in a few years.

I love this print! I don't think you'll have any trouble illustrating a children's book. Go for it! But don't take a few years. I think you can get one worked out in the next few months. This is a really fun picture.

Awe, thanks everyone! I have illustrated The Halloween Tree by Tina Roark. (synergebooks.com) It's an ebook. This was years ago. I also wrote a children's book (okay...an ebook) In a Parrot's Shoes my illustrator was Ed Woodward. Same publisher. sigh...someday!

What an adorable bird, I could definitely see him as the star of a children's book series. Curious if he has a name?
