Lavender Fields

Watercolor on Canvas??? Well... Yes! on YES! canvas!!! There are now two stretched canvas makers who have created canvas' for wet media : Fredrix and YES!

I love the look of watercolor on canvas! This painting, "Lavender Fields" is 12x16, painted on the sides and wired so it is ready to hang directly on the wall if you like! It can also be framed if desired, but it is sealed with Kyrlon Matte Varnish so it doesn't have to have glass over it like most watercolor paintings!

Wow, what a neat new thing. I've never seen watercolor on cavas before. It looks beautiful! Is the canvas more expensive or priced about the same as the regular canvas of the same brand?

Super-cool!

Melanie, these are great pieces! I've never tried watercolors on canvas, but being able to frame without glass is a huge plus! Do you use the medium pretty much the same way as on paper?
