Getting Ready For Halloween!

New Paintings From Kathy Martin Studio

Hello! Halloween will soon be here! I've been getting ready by painting a few Halloween paintings.

Both paintings are 2.5 x 3.5 inches (standard ACEO sized). They are base coated in 24 Karat gold paint and then put through an antique process.

The pumpkin's 3d outline has been gold leafed using 18 Karat gold leaf.

He's ready to add cheer to any Halloween collection!
You can learn more about him or purchase him here:

The Etsy Bitsy Spider's cherry blossom branch is covered in copper leaf, and he hangs from a siver leafed thread. He is 3d and is ready for the Halloween season!
You can learn more about or purchase this spider here:

Have a great day!

smiles,
Kathy

These are fun pieces, love the antiqued base, looks like rich, old fabric, it's a really nice effect.

Thanks so much Ellen!

I worked as an artist at a company that produces back drops and props for photography studios. I painted props there. It was fun, and I learned a few really neat processes. =)

These are adorable for halloween, Kathy! I love your technique with the raised gold paint.
