Hi...these are both encaustic mixed media paintings. So, encaustic medium is painted on to the support...in this case the back of a cigar box. then fused with heat gun. Then a layer of encaustic paint is added, fused and more paint added..after that collage imagery and rice paper, is immersed in encaustic medium & fused...then stencils are applied with beeswax and fused...along with more paint...So paint, fuse, layer etch and carve...is the process.
