I love Echinachea! The way the petals turn downward is so different from most of the daisy shaped flowers. It is sparse in the Texas Hill Country, but I often see it in my travels. I have so many photos of these flowers, many from the Taos, New Mexico area.
This watercolor piece is 7 inches tall by 5 inches wide, sized to fit a standard 8x10 mat and frame.
See it here in my Etsy store, priced at $35.00.
Please visit my Etsy store for original watercolor and oil paintings priced from $10.00 to $395.00.
Don't miss my website for more oil paintings, and to see my "What's going on in my studio this month" feature! My August update is posted.
Thank you for visiting!

Jean,
Awesome! I love your loose approach to watercolors! It is a very challenging medium! Great colors in this one and the Purple Cone Flower is one of my favorite Mainland flowers!!!!!
Keep creating, my friend!
Aloha,
Marionette
I am painting a daisy as well today! Love to see yours and the beautiful style of you.
Thank you so much, Marionette! Yes, watercolor is challenging, and you have inspired me to do more of it!
Best to you!
Thank you, Lily! Your watercolors are so wonderful, too!
What a lovely painting! You really manage to capture their beauty and tranquility.
It's been awhile since I've been able to check our blog. Crazy schedule. As always, so many lovely things. I think it's initeresting that so many of the times I say to myself, "Ooooo, that's a lovely piece" I scroll down and it's one of your paintings. Yeah Jean!
Lovely and delicate.
Lea, thank you for the lovely compliment!
Lyndel,
Thank you so very much! That's a huge compliment!
I know you have your hands full, sometimes it's hard to find time to create. I sure appreciate what you do for VAST - with FlickR and the files you've added to our group!
Good to hear from you again,
Jean
Thank you so much, CeeVee!
This is beautiful...
