RUN for the roses.

Like I said on my other blog... I woke up frenetic with ideas and things I wanted to do. Nothing really got done except wrestling with this mixed media thing. I've never done this before so what's the feed back? oil, acrylic, fabric, paper, crayon and colored pencil.

Wow. Thanks Jean. Why do you think it works? I'm not sure that it does. I changed it a little this a.m.

Debi, first, the colors are very good, analogous with enough of a complement to work well. Second, I think the design works well. the big white swoop (technically speaking) at the bottom brings your eye up, and the smaller violet swoop keeps the eye flowing back down in a circular pattern. Also, design wise, there is a good predominance of light, with enough dark to keep interest.

Hi Debi: I love this piece, it's warm, inviting to loook at and keep finding familiar eye catching materials in the background. This is what mixed media is to me. I am very new at this realm of art and I love everything about it and your piece represents it all to me.
Hope you are enjoying the process. I sure am.
Love to you, SG in AZ
