This artwork is entitled, "Mountain Path". It is a paper mosaic on a cradled wood panel that I've added to my shop for VAST's March 'Green' Challenge. The piece is the first of a series of paper mosaics I've been working on. The process is highly time consuming, but really enjoyable to do. The finished piece is coated with several coats of gloss varnish, giving it a beautiful lustre and making it almost as durable as a glass mosaic. This image is based on Manning Park, a favorite camping spot for my family.

Lovely work! It reminds me of a process I've been doing which is much the same...using tiny bits of hand-cut artsy papers. I've been calling it "paper-piecing" for lack of a better word/description. It's time consuming, yet fun and enjoyable to do. :)

This is wonderful. I've done glass mosaics and thought about paper, but...well...where do you find the time? I could probably find the time to do the art, but I get put off by all the paper cutting. Wonderful work you've done!
Very nice quality with the texture and the composition and color designs. Your blog posting looks great too.
