Flowers of Yesterday's Delight

Flower of Yesterday’s Delight

This is from my series of assemblages. I used found metal pieces and old photos and odd pieces of found text, such as the title, to create these pieces.
This piece is built on a 3 by 5 Light Switchplate. The wings are cut from copper with my trusty Dremel. Her face is a glass orb backed by an angelic image with a mica halo. The vase is a tiny antique bottle holding a spring of yarrow from my herb garden. Her dangly legs are wires with beads and old keys. The angel has a hanger on the back for easy display.
