My Changing Focus
For several years now I have enjoyed Jewelry design and I still do. Bead and Wire work is a wonderful craft! However, I must say that since I began painting, I just can’t stop
thinking about it or doing it. I am consumed and addicted. I find painting extremely fulfilling and gratifying.
I like that painting is raw and emotional . I love the process and what happens in the art making. I do not have trained technique, but I can see my style developing and I see it as folk art. I started painting this year and it has become my dearest friend.
When I begin, I do have an idea about what I want to do. But something clearly happens and I find that I am not in the drivers’ seat, at least not alone. Now this isn’t anything scary or alien, it’s the gift working through us, expressed by us. Very wonderful thing, that process.
