Bird meets television repair manual

Hello, VASTers! I've been away, tending to my opera students over the summer, but one of the first pieces I did when I surfaced a few or so ago was this one ... and it surprised me because it was rather different (cooler in emotional tone) from my other work. I guess that's what some time off may do to you, eh? I love the book the picture tube illustration came from -- a 1953 edition of Audel's Television Service Manual that I liberated from my husband's collection: the technical diagrams are astounding.
