I am quite excited about a new book I purchased "Colored Pencil Painting
Bible" (Techniques for Achieving Luminous Color and Ultrarealistic
Effects) by Alyona Nickelsen. I am trying out many of her techniques
and here is one of my first full page illustrations ... can you believe
this is all done with colored Pencils? (I did add some ink for fine
lines) This is an amazing new use of colored pencils!

Colored pencils have always been one of my favorite mediums. This is a beautiful piece. I'mm going to have to get my hands on a copy of that book.
Excellent! I have never done that well with colored pencils. I love the vibrancy...and the little girl is a cutie :)
