I'm finding that I tend to enjoy working from flowers when they are wilting or dead...they seem to gain so much character at that point. I hope that others appreciate my own "character" as I get older, too!
I also enjoy photographing flowers in their prime. I believe there's beauty in every stage and a certain richness to petals that are beginning to wither & drop. It says a lot about how we approach our own aging process too, don't you think?
I turned 60 last summer and love this stage of life!
Welcome to VAST - Visual Artists Street Team for Etsy.
We are an international and eclectic group of artists dedicated to creating successful artistic shops on Etsy. You'll find on this blog a continuously changing array of artwork provided by our VAST group of talented artists, as well as links to members' shops. Please feel free to look around and leave comments about your favorite works of art. We are excited to open our doors to you and share our creative world!
In order to promote Etsy and to get the word out about VAST, members are encouraged to:
1) Post at least one new VAST item (original or reproduction) from your Etsy shop to the blog each month or contribute by commenting here or in the Etsy forums;
2) Provide links to your Etsy shop and to the item(s) in your posting. You may also include links to personal blogs and websites, screen shots and links to VAST treasuries and/or other VAST activities (like a VAST member making the Etsy homepage).
3) Avoid links to non-Etsy web hosting sites, fundraisers, competitions, or other activities not directly related to VAST;
4) Use the words "VAST Team" in your tags for all appropriate listings in your Etsy shop (this helps us find your VAST items for treasuries or other promotions);
5) Continue to be the creative and wonderful artists you are. Thanks for being a participating member of VAST!
