This is one of my latest original palette knife oil paintings titled
"Misty-cal Morning At Hanalei Bay".


The inspiration for this painting was a recent (wonderful) vacation I took to the island of Kauai.
Early one morning, I stopped at Hanalei Bay, on the north side of the island. The day was just waking up and the morning mist was slowly disappearing. The overcast sky was clearing, ready to start another perfect day in Paradise.
It was truly Misty-cal !

Not only have Ravens been known to imitate the human voice, just like parrots but those that have been trained to speak are considered valuable in parts of East Asia, as they are a sign of luck.

New painting, The Moonstone

Hello, it's been a long time since I've posted here but I am finally working on some new art! I have been doing a lot of art inspired by gothic novels and movies over the years but at the moment I'm thinking of some specific books and scenes to base some art on (books from pre-1920s, sometimes as old as the 1700s). This is inspired, in a vague sort of way, by Wilkie Collins' "The Moonstone" and by Victorian mysteries in general. Thank you for looking!
