The PINK ART FOR THE CURE 1 is in support of breast cancer research and all those women and men touched by the disease. My latest mixed media canvas was inspired by patchwork quilts. I like the idea of sewing memories and keepsakes into a quilt to preserve them forever.

The "patches" here are made of various papers. Collage elements include lace, buttons, and a tiny lock and key.

I am an ornithologist, so birds are dear to me. Chickadees pack a lot of charisma and attitude in a little body, and when I saw them on our Japanese maple tree, well I had to paint them!......5" x 11" original watercolor. New in my shop Catbird Seat Studio!
