Listen to the Birds.
A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.
This is from my assemblage series using old chippy metal light switch plates salvaged from a junk yard. The three light switch assemblage listed on Etsy this week are featured on page 9 of the May/ June 2008 issue of Cloth Paper Scissors. I used found pieces, images and odd pieces of found text, such as the title, to create these pieces. This piece is built on a 3 by 5 Light Switch plate. The wings are metal. Her face is a gold frame holding an image of a long ago moving picture star and I have given her mica wings. The little portal hole holds a tiny peering bird. .
