Garden Delight

I love hummingbirds! When the first warm weather of spring arrives, my feeders are up waiting for the return of these tiny winged beauties. Paying tribute to these little creatures, I have painted them in acrylics, water colors, and on silk pillows. This acrylic painting was created from a photo. I muted the pastel colors of background, and focused on the hummingbird with his eyes on the pink flowers. I once held a hummingbird in the palm of my hand and felt his tiny heart beating against my skin: I felt so blest!
