An Angel Named Hope

Title: An Angel Named Hope
Media: Acrylic, Mixed media

Dimensions: 18" x 24" Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Date of Work: Oct. 2007

"An Angel Named Hope" is a painting I made specifically for Breast Cancer Awareness. The angel is wrapped in the symbolic pink ribbon with real rhinestones and gold lettering with the word "hope." It's my spiritual contribution to the survivors of this disease and all the women around the world.

This painting was made using thin layers of acrylic paint and rhinestones. The background is full of texture and translucent layers of metallic paint. Hope's wings glisten with the tiniest specks of glitter.

100% of the proceeds will sponsor my friend's 3 day (60 mile) walk in downtown Phoenix. She and I both have family members that lost their fight to this sad disease. For further details about this fund raiser, visit http://08.the3day.org.
