Hi Everyone!

Thanks for including me in VAST and inviting me to post on the blog. My name is Meredith Steele and I'm a painter living and working in Raleigh, NC. I just retired from teaching high school art for ten years. (yeah, I'm still alive!). I have a daughter who will be 2 in September who keeps me busy when I'm not painting. I also have a supercool husband and a dog and a cat who just don't get as much attention as they used to.

I also like Cheetos, listening to Wilco, and old toys. I believe everyone needs, but most people don't have, some kind of creative outlet.
